What is Acro dance?
Acro dance is a dynamic and expressive dance form that we offer to students, allowing them to combine elements of acrobatics with street, contemporary, and theatre dance. It emphasises flexibility, strength, and balance, enabling dancers to perform intricate movements.
Additionally, acro encourages creativity and storytelling through movement, making it a captivating and visually stunning art form.
About the lesson:
Skill Levels: Classes are available for level one students who can join and progress at their own pace.
Students will develop muscle strength through various acrobatic moves and poses.
Classes focus on stretching and flexibility techniques, helping dancers achieve beautiful lines and movements.
Students gain a better understanding of their bodies, improving balance, coordination, and overall body control.
Mastering challenging acro moves fosters self-esteem and confidence, both in and out of the studio.
Acro offers a unique way to express oneself artistically. Students learn to incorporate acrobatic elements into dance routines, fostering creativity and personal style.
Inclusion of Partner Work: Classes can include partner acrobatics, allowing students to work collaboratively, which fosters teamwork and trust among participants.

Safety is a top priority in acro classes. As a trained instructor I ensure that students learn proper techniques and use spotters when needed to prevent injuries. And, ensure all students have access to the equipment necessary for their acro lesson. This allows out students to practise and learn in a safe and supportive environment.
Performance Opportunities: Students can showcase their skills through performances providing a chance to experience the thrill of performing in front of an audience.
